Cats

Manzanita Animal Hospital can provide complete services for your pets. For cats, our services include:

Physical Exam & Diagnosis of Sick and/or Injured Pets

We recommend an annual physical (or healthy pet exam) to make sure your animal is in their best physical shape and health (We schedule full 30 minute appointments for each patient).

Vaccinations – We offer the following vaccinations:
(These prices include a full 20 minute exam charge)
Rabies, PCR, Feline Leukemia Vaccine

Fecal Exam for Intestinal Parasites
We recommend bringing in a stool sample from your animal at least once a year so that we can determine if they have internal parasites. We can then also provide your animal with dewormers.

Feline Leukemia (FELV)Testing & Feline Immune Virus (FIV)Testing

Pre-Anesthetic Blookwork
The top four reason for blood tests on your pet before anesthesia:

  • You deserve peace of mind. Testing can significantly reduce medical risk and ensure your pet’s health and safety.
  • Pets can’t tell us when they don’t feel well. A healthy-appearing pet may be hiding symptoms of disease or ailment. For example, a pet can lose up to 75% of kidney function before showing any visible signs of illness. Testing helps us evaluate your pet’s health up front, so we can avoid problems related to anesthesia.
  • Testing can reduce risk and consequences. If preanesthtic results are within normal ranges, we can proceed with confidence, knowing that anesthetic risk is minimized. On the other hand, if results are not within normal ranges, we can alter the anesthetic procedure, or take other precautions to safeguard your pet’s health and reduce the risk of potential complications.
  • Testing can help protect your pet’s future health. These tests provide baseline levels for your pet and become part of his or her medical record for future references.
